Obituary

Wendell L. (Wink) Herndon was born in Perryton, Texas on October 10, 1949 and passed away on December 21, 2021.  He was a 1967 graduate of Liberal High School in Liberal, KS.  He retired from Tyson Foods in 2013.  He loved the Beatles and was a talented musician who played an array of different instruments by ear.   He won Oklahoma’s singer/song writer competition with his song “Two Most Beautiful People” a tribute to his parents.

He is survived by his wife Mary, son Nick, grandson Kyland, Sister Beverly Herndon Skiles and her husband Mike and many nieces and nephews.  

He is preceded in death by his parents, Myron and Geneva (Love) Herndon, son Greg, brother Jack and grandparents.

He will be missed by many and will forever be in our hearts.

Pallbearers will be Bob McCloud,  Reg McCloud, Mark McCloud, Eric Herndon, Chad Hebenstreit, and Dan Fleming.  Honorary Pallbearers are Matt Herndon, Mason Herndon, Miller Herndon, Chris Skiles, Cody Skiles and Denny McCloud.
