Victor Embry Obituary

Victor was born August 19th,1933 in Dallas, Texas, the son of Ray and Lois Embry, both deceased. Victor was survived by his wife of 68 years Helen Embry. Together they had three children, Terri (Welton) Freeman, Mark (Carol) Embry and Lisa (Danny) Parasiliti.  Eight grandchildren: Amy, Travis, Scott, Nathan, Chris, Brian, Sarah, Kyle and 12 great-grandchildren.

Victor served in the US Air Force from January 1952 - December 1955 and joined the Navy in April 1958 until he retired in April 1974 as an airflight electrician and a flight engineer.   He loved serving in the military and loved his country. While in the Navy he also played for the All-Navy Fastpitch Softball team and was selected to play in the world tournament twice.

The military placed Victor in numerous locations throughout the years.  His first priority was to get active in a local church where he often served as deacon, taught Sunday school or served as music leader. While stationed in California he also served as a hospital chaplain. After his retirement from the military, Victor worked installing and servicing fire alarms and nurse call systems throughout the Texas Tri-State area. His priorities were God, family, and his country, and he faithfully served them all.  His greatest gift was the example he set for his family by loving the Lord and serving others.
