Vernon Bradley Obituary

Vernon Dwight Bradley was born on November 22, 1946 in Port Arthur, TX and departed this life on August 5, 2022 in Fort Worth, TX after a prolonged battle with Parkinson’s Disease.

Vernon was the only son of Vernon “Jay” and Estelle Adele Bradley of Queen City, TX. He was raised in Port Arthur where he attended Thomas Jefferson High School and met the love of his life Linda Louise Krautz, who he wed on June 19th, 1965.

Vernon worked for Texaco Oil Company as a machinist for 15 years up until he took retirement in 1984 to follow his life’s calling by entering the ministry. Throughout his ministerial career Vernon pastored three church’s in Texas and Louisiana and he retired from his pastoral duties in 2007. Thereafter he owned and operated his own pest control business, an occupation that allowed him to continue to touch people’s lives through service.

The passion of Vernon’s life was his family and ministering to and serving others. He never met a stranger and as a result he leaves behind many friends. Throughout his youthful years he loved sports with a strong passion for baseball and motor sports; passions he shared with his boys. He was likewise a cowboy at heart who shared a love of horses with his wife Linda and their grandchildren. Vernon loved to have fun more than anything else and family gatherings were full of love and laughter.

Vernon is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Linda Krautz-Bradley of Crowley, son Charles Bryan Bradley and wife Christine Bowland Bradley of Fort Worth, son Kenneth Paul Bradley and wife Janis Law Bradley of Burleson, and four beloved grandchildren, Bryce Emery, Lauren Nicole, Jordan Layne and Mallory Brenee.
