Stella Elizabeth Smith

July 12, 1949 ~ July 14, 2023 (age 74) 74 Years Old

Obituary

Stella Elizabeth (Beth) Smith was born in Cleburne, Texas on July 12, 1949 to Walter Burdette and Walterine (Newby) Burdette. She married D.L. Smith on April 19, 1965.

She passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday July 14, 2023 from a short bout with liver cancer she was at home with her family.

Beth grew up in the Cleburne and Fort Worth area before moving to Burleson in 1975. She worked at various manufacturing companies and many of the school cafeterias in the Burleson School District.

Beth was a devoted wife to D.L., a loving mother to Donna and Donnie. After the Grandkids and Great Grandkids were born they became the center of her life. She would do anything for anyone but she lived for the Grandkids

Beth loved sewing and crafting and would go to garage sales any chance she could. She loved getting the grocery store ads every week and listing out her grocery list. She would get upset if she didn't get the ads in the mail. So Donna would go to the stores and get the sales paper for her so she could make her shopping list. She could and would spend hours walking around Walmart and the Dollar Tree. She always loved to be in the kitchen cooking or baking.

She always looked forward to the daily phone call from her sister Cindy.

Beth was proceeded in death by her husband D.L., her parents Walterine Brand and Walter Burdette, sister Tracy Fencil, Brothers Larry Burdette, Eddie Brand and Bobby Morris
