Sharon Perkins Obituary

In Loving Memory of Sharon Judy Perkins
Sharon Judy Perkins, born in Cleburn, Texas, on January 27, 1943, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family, leaving behind a legacy of love and strength. A devoted wife and loving mother of three sons, Sharon was a beacon of dedication, loyalty, and courage.
She is survived by three sons and their families.
Paul Allen Perkins, Jr. and his wife Brenda; their daughter Christy Brennan; their son Patrick Conners and his wife Allena; their grandsons Tyler Stephenson and his wife Jaqui, Trevor Stephenson and his wife Elizabeth, and Liam Connors; and their three great granddaughters.
Mark Lee Perkins and his wife Gwen; their daughters Savannah Hollis-Fife and her husband Tres, Samantha Schandorff and her husband Devin Schandorff; and their granddaughter Cohen Schandorff.
Timothy Wayne Perkins and his wife Ronna; their son Aaron.
Sharon was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Allen Perkins, Sr.; both of her parents, Jesse Willard Stanley and Theressa White Locke; a grandson, Adam Thomas Perkins; and a great-granddaughter, Stevie Elizabeth Conners.
Known for her strength and fierceness, Sharon faced her personal challenges in private, yet her social spirit often had others referring to her as a social butterfly. Her love for gardening, painting, and family defined her, and her artistic talent added beauty to the world around her. If there was an opportunity to be outside, that is where you could find her; watching the sunrise each morning, surrounded by God's creatures was one of her favorite times of the day.
Sharon's faith in God was unwavering, and she shared that devotion by giving generously of her time, energy, and home. Despite humble beginnings, Sharon overcame numerous obstacles, providing a stable and thriving home for her sons. Her deep love for her husband, whom she adored since childhood, was the cornerstone of her life.
She extended her maternal care beyond her immediate family, earning her the title of "mother to the whole neighborhood." Her home was a haven, where her sons' friends eagerly gathered while they were growing up. Oh how her heart swelled with pride sharing the stories of her sons' accomplishments...and their antics.
A den mother for Cub Scouts and a Brownie troop leader, Sharon embodied devotion, playfulness, and nurturing. She didn't mince words when it came to her likes and dislikes, she was straightforward to a fault. Her onery spirit, determination, and stubbornness were integral parts of her character, making her truly one-of-a-kind.
Sharon's journey on earth may have ended with her battle against cancer, but her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her. She will be forever remembered for the lessons she taught each of us and the little treasures she left in our hearts. Mom's beautiful, but spunky, spirit will forever echo in the lives she touched. Rest in peace, Moma, we love you!
