Samuel Leland Parks 75, of Joshua, TX, died Oct 8, 2021. Born Sept 13, 1946 in Albany, CA to Leland Samuel Parks and Marion Louis Parks. Sam had 3 daughters Mary (mother Linda Woolfolk), Susan and Patricia (mother Julia Puckett Parks). Sam married Betty Jean Wheeler on January 22, 1975 and gained 3 bonus sons Jimmy, Jerry and Tracy. Sam and Betty lived in Joshua, Texas. Sam was employed at Thomas Conveyor and Martin Sprocket of Fort Worth until his retirement.

Sam loved his family, loved to fish, loved to listen and dance to country music, camp by the lake, and loved a good conversation.

Sam is survived by his girlfriend Theresa Hosmer, daughter Mary and her husband Patrick Stoner, and their daughter Patricia Jordan. His 3 grandchildren Katy Loo (Caitlyn), Chris, and Madison by Mary and Patrick Stoner. His 3 grandchildren Julie Martin, Taylor Castro, and Tyler Sladek by daughter Susan Parks. His 3 grandchildren Heather Jordan, Jacob Jordan, and Nathan Escobar by daughter Patricia Jordan. His 5 great-grandchildren Zaylie, Brealynn, Drayden, Wyatt Jordan, and Vance Martin.

Sam is also survived by his children Jimmy Wheeler and his wife Geneva, his son Jerry Wheeler and his wife Judy, and his son Tracy Wheeler and his wife Sara.  In addition Sam had 3 grandchildren Jimmy Wheeler Jr, Kathy Wilkin and her husband Easton, Tracy Wheeler Jr and his wife Amee.  His great grandchildren Steven Wheeler and his wife Madelin, Cole Vanway, Kaylie and Grace Wilkin, and Caiden Wheeler.  Also, his 2 great-great-grandchildren Ryan and Sutton.

He is also survived by his beloved cat Critter who he spoiled and loved dearly.

Sam was preceded in death by his parents Leland and Marion Parks, 2 sisters Leona May Parks and Mary Elizabeth Parks, and his wife of 32 years Betty Jean Parks and daughter Susan Parks.
