She became a 34-year member of the Joshua Baptist Church where she later met and married her soul mate, Jim Zornes.  She was a faithful servant working as a church staff member and the administrator of Joshua Christian Academy.  She was currently employed as an executive secretary and customer service director at Bassham Food in Fort Worth, Texas.  Mary and Jim were married 31 years and had 2 sons, James (JT), and Jared, and a daughter Jocelyn who all continue their church service.

She was preceded in death by her father Pat Harris, her grandparents, GW and Tess Harris and OL and Velma Ashton and stepfather (Papa) Don Whitaker.
