Mark Anthony Mitchell

Mark Anthony Mitchell, 64, walked into Heaven’s gates on Feb. 9, 2020.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 11, at Mountain Valley Funeral Home in Joshua, Texas. A Celebration of Life service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at The Heights Church in Cleburne, Texas.

He was born July 6, 1955 in Mineral Wells, Texas, to Kit C. and Theople (Tudie) Mitchell.

Mark loved the Lord and was a House Prophet at The Heights Church in Cleburne. He was a big Dallas Cowboys fan and he also enjoyed hunting and fishing.

After graduating from high school, he was a journeyman plumber with his dad. Then he studied and became a Licensed Vocational Nurse. This led him to a position as a para-professional special needs teacher. Mark married Donna Smith on Dec. 23, 1981.

He is survived by his wife, Donna; brother Kit Mitchell of Colorado Springs, Colorado, nephew Keith Mitchell and his wife Jody of Alexandria, Virginia; niece Karyn Johnson and her husband Damon and daughters Lily and Addy of Edmond, Okla.; sister-in-law Debbie Utley and extended family and friends.

Mark was preceded in death by his parents, sister-n-law Brenda Mitchell and brother-in-law Bob Utley.
