Johnnie Hoffman Obituary

Johnnie was born on September 12, 1940 in Cleburne, Texas. She was the oldest daughter of Jesse “Hob” and Hazel Stone. Johnnie graduated from Burleson High School in 1958. She married Lynn Hoffman on June 13, 1958 in Crowley, Texas. Johnnie and Lynn started their family in 1961. While raising their two children she would help out at the Local Mobil Station in Burleson. Johnnie and Lynn were members of the First Baptist Church of Burleson from August 1976 to 2004 then became members of the Alsbury Baptist Church of Burleson in 2004. She was the Business Director at Huguley/Heritage Place starting February 5, 1992 and after 21 years retired on May 17, 2013.

After retirement Johnnie and Lynn enjoyed following their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s events, successes, and celebrations. Johnnie loved her crafts! She enjoyed photography, scrapbooking, quilting, and painting. She loved getting to spend time with her lifelong friends. She was proud of their red hat society club and enjoyed their weekly competitive Rummikub games.

Johnnie and Lynn started many traditions together over their 63 years of marriage. They enjoyed passing on these traditions to their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren who all carry on these traditions to this day, Christmas being the family’s most favorite.

Johnnie was preceded in death by her parents Jesse “Hob” and Hazel Stone of Burleson; husband Lynn Hoffman of Burleson and son Randy Hoffman of Stephenville.
