Johnnie Loretta Daugherty

Johnnie Loretta (King) Thomas Daugherty was born in Electra, Texas to John W. and Jennie A. (Beaver) King on December 10, 1934.

She left this earth to be with the Lord on December 2, 2022.

She was twice widowed. She had two blessed marriages, first to Billie Joe Thomas and then to Thomas Dean Daugherty.

Johnnie was also preceded in death by her sister Imogene Breshears, her bothers Everett Black, John Fowler, and daughter Denise Golden.

She is survived by her children Michael Thomas (and wife Becky), Luann Howard (and husband Ted), Ronnie Daugherty, David Daugherty (and wife Michele), Janet Singleton (and husband Stacy); Grandchildren Jennifer Conrad, Billy Joe (BJ) Thomas, Clint Howard, Taylor Howard, Stephanie Golden, Ashley Golden, James Daugherty, Jackie Mart, Jeremy Daugherty, Amanda Daugherty, Abby Daugherty, Phillip Daugherty, Kassie Urban, and Tanner Singleton as well as special family members Gwen Fowler and Karen Daugherty.

She is also survived by 23 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, numerous nieces and nephews and countless friends.

She was a faithful member of the Church of Christ.  She was involved in the JOY bus ministry, meals-on-wheels, and Vacation Bible School just to name a few.

She enjoyed times spent in the mountains, on the Texas coast, and making chocolate chip cookies for Tom and her grandkids. She also enjoyed playing/winning at 42.
