Jeanette Ruth (Harris) Mccrory

Jeannette Harris McCrory was a lifelong resident of Burleson, TX. She was born to Emmitt and Irene Overton Harris on January 17, 1926, and grew up on the Overton family farm on FM 731. She passed away just down the road from there at Advanced Healthcare on John Jones Rd on September 12, 2023. She was 97 years old.
Jeannette was a member of First Baptist Church in Burleson being baptized there as a child. She was also a homemaker with a brief stint as a hairdresser. An awesome cook and caretaker, she loved to feed her family and took care of both of her parents and her brother before their passing. She had a quick wit and an infectious laugh that endeared her to her family and friends. Affectionately known as Grandmother, she will be missed!
She was proceeded in death by her parents, her husband, James Hamilton McCrory Jr., and her brothers, Gene and Phil Harris. She is survived by two sons, Gary & wife Ellen, Keith & wife Marilyn, five grandsons, Brian, Chris, Eric, Nick & Matt McCrory, six great grandchildren, Daniel, Wade, Hannah, Eric Jr, Ethan & Anne-Marie.
