Diana Cathryn Kroeker

Diana Cathryn Kroeker was born in Midland, Texas on July 20, 1976 to Greg and Dara (Boone) Beard. She ended her battle with cancer early Friday morning June 26, 2020, and is now healed and in the presence of her Heavenly Father.
Diana grew up with her parents and three brothers, Aaron, Josh, and Jacob.  Because of her dad’s job in the oil industry, they lived in several locations around the world, including Midland, TX, Los Angeles, CA, London, England and Plano, TX. However, through all this, home was wherever her family was together.

Diana and Chad met while she lived in Plano TX in 1993. She was a Senior in high school and he was a Junior. Over the next several years, they had ups and downs, but eventually married on May 30, 1998.  Their son, Ethan, was born in Torrance, CA, in 2002, and their daughter, Carley, was born in Fort Worth, TX, in 2005.

Professionally, Diana always wanted to be a math teacher. She got her bachelors degree from Texas Tech University in 1998. After Chad graduated from Tech in 1999, they move to California where she taught at Wittier Christian High School in La Habra, CA, for several years. She quit teaching when they had their first child, and they moved back to Texas shortly after Ethan’s birth. That move brought them to Burleson. While raising her young children, she wanted to make an impact on the students in her community so she started by tutoring students in her home. She then became a full-time math teacher at Burleson High School in January of 2010. She later left the classroom to be the BHS testing coordinator and after earning her Masters in Administration became an Assistant Principal at Burleson High School. Her final BISD position was as an Assistant Principal at the new Burleson Collegiate High School. No matter what position she was in, her goal was always to support and encourage every student that walked through her door, NO MATTER WHAT.

The only thing that was more important to Diana than the students of her Community was her faith in Jesus Christ.  She was a member of First Baptist Church in Burleson.  She and Chad opened up their homes for youth events and she was an active member of many women’s groups there.

Diana was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Larry Kroeker.

She is survived by her husband Chad, her children Ethan and Carley, her mother and father, Dara and Greg Beard of Clifton, TX, her mother-in-law Jeanie Kroeker of McKinney, TX, her sister-in law Angela Kroeker of Frisco, TX, her grandmother, Nelda Ramsey of Clifton, TX, her three brothers: Aaron Beard and wife Nicole of Lubbock, TX, Josh Beard of Clifton, TX, and Jacob Beard and wife Amanda of Lawton, OK, as well as nine nieces and nephews.
