Vicky Jean (Hollis) McGuire

Vicky Jean McGuire, 73, passed away peacefully on May 30, 2026.

Born on February 10, 1953, in Henrietta, Texas, Vicky was the daughter of Amos Hollis and Oleta (Patterson) Hollis. She was raised in Decatur, Texas, where she attended school and graduated from Decatur High School.

On September 3, 1971, Vicky married the love of her life, Bill McGuire, in Gainesville, Texas. Together they built a life centered on family, hard work, and lasting memories. Bill preceded her in death.

Vicky dedicated many years of service to the citizens of Tarrant County through her career with the Tarrant County Sheriff's Department, retiring after a distinguished tenure.

Above all else, Vicky cherished her family. She is survived by her children, Mike McGuire and wife Kesha, Alicia Hill and husband Tray, and Michael McGuire and wife Sarah; her siblings, Richard Hollis and wife Charlene, Kevin Hollis, and Mitzi (Hollis) Reaves and husband Scott Reaves; and many beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren who brought her tremendous joy.

Vicky will be remembered for her strength, devotion to family, and the many lives she touched throughout her years. Her memory will remain a source of comfort and inspiration to those who knew and loved her.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Mountain Valley Funeral Home in Joshua, Texas. Cremation will follow.

Though she is no longer with us in person, the love she shared, the lessons she taught, and the memories she created will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
