In Loving Memory of Rick Howle

Rick was born on September 15, 1946, in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, to Wayne Hearold Howle and Mary Lucille Killebrew Howle. He was the second of six children, growing up with his siblings John Wayne Howle, Judy McDonald, Marilou Presley, Glynn Howle, and Connie Smades. On November 7, 2024, he left this world peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, warmth, and joy.

On November 18, 1966, he married Judy Glasscock, the love of his life, and was devoted to her until his final moments. A man of deep faith, he valued his relationship with God, cherished his family and friends, and held a lasting love for his country. Those who knew him saw these values reflected in his actions every day, and he leaves a legacy of humility and compassion.

For more than 25 years, he was friends with Santa Claus and helped whenever needed, bringing the magic of Christmas to life for countless families and children. Through this role, he shared his generous spirit and brought joy to all who knew him. To those around him, he wasn't just Santa's helper-he was the embodiment of compassion, selflessness, and cheer.

He now joins his beloved wife, Judy Glasscock Howle; his daughter, Renae Mitchell; his brother, John Wayne Howle; and his parents, Wayne Hearold Howle and Mary Lucille Killebrew Howle.

His legacy continues through his devoted daughter, Jenise, and her husband, Toby Cloud, and their two children, Rikki Cloud and Toby Cloud; as well as his son-in-law, Cory Mitchell, and his three children, Robert Boedecker (Andrea), Alexis Starr, and Jake Mitchell (Lauren). He also leaves behind his precious great-grandchildren Grace Cloud, Ellis Gilchrest, and Eli Gilchrest; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and his best fur buddy Peanut.

As we say goodbye, we remember Rick as a man who filled every room with warmth, humor, and kindness. His spirit will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in peace, and may his legacy continue to inspire and uplift.
