Peggy Joyce Hodges Cook, 82, passed away peacefully on November 17, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family and the Lord. Born on July 1, 1943 in Grapevine, Texas to Goldie Seay Hodges and Jesse Wayland Hodges, she loved reading, having an active church life, and spending time with family. She was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, and her greatest joy came from caring for her family and sharing in their lives.
Peggy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jimmy Cook, who passed away in 2020, and her cherished daughter, Janie Farthing, who passed away in 2004. Their memories remained close to her heart throughout her life.
She is survived by her son, Cliff Cook and wife, Eden; her daughter, Tracie Blair and husband, Alan; six grandchildren Rindie, Josh, Matt, Monica, Jack, and Josie; nine great-grandchildren, Luke, Andrew, Jacob, Landon, Brooks, Tripp, Jayton, Lyla, and Jay; and a large extended family of nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
Peggy will be remembered for her strength, her steady faith, and the love and care she gave to her family and friends. Her family takes comfort in knowing she is reunited with loved ones and at peace in the presence of the Savior she loved so deeply.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 22, 2025, at 10am at Boulevard Baptist Church.
