In Loving Memory of Patsy Jo Benton. Today, we remember and celebrate the life of Patsy Jo Benton, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Patsy Jo was born in Grand Prairie, Texas, on May 14, 1941. In June of 1958, she married Glen Benton, beginning a life and family that would become the center of her world. Patsy was a devoted stay-at-home mother while her three children were young. Once her children were in school, she began working for the Grand Prairie school system. She later continued her career with Burleson ISD, where she worked until her retirement. Family was always one of the most important parts of Patsy's life. Everyone loved her wonderful pumpkin bread, and holidays were especially special because Patsy loved having everyone gathered together. She always cooked, made sure everything was just right, and created a warm place where family could come together, share a meal, laugh, and make memories. Patsy was a very social person who enjoyed friendship, games, and spending time with others. She looked forward to Wednesdays with her Red Hat Ladies group at the senior center, where she enjoyed playing games and cards. She especially loved playing games with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Those moments of laughter, fun, and togetherness are memories her family will treasure for years to come. Her great-grandchildren brought her so much joy, and she loved them dearly. Patsy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Glen Benton, and her youngest son, Chris Wayne Benton. She leaves behind her daughter Vicki Linney, and her husband Tommy Linney and their son Jacob Linney and his wife Andrea, Terry Benton and his wife Elva Benton, and their children Kyle and his wife Vanessa, Trey and his wife Jessica, and Emily. She is also survived by Chris's children, Jessica Benton and Jennifer Hanna and her husband Kaleb, along with their families. Patsy's children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were an important part of her life. The love she shared with each generation was one of her greatest gifts, and that love will continue through the family she leaves behind. Patsy passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of Friday, October 23, 2026. While her family and friends feel the deep sadness of losing her, we can also be grateful for the life she lived and for all the love, traditions, and memories she gave to those around her. We will remember Patsy for the warmth she brought to her family, the joy she found in friendships and games, the wonderful meals and pumpkin bread she shared, and most of all, the love she gave so freely. Her life touched many people, and her memory will live on through the family she loved so dearly. Today, we say goodbye with heavy hearts, but we also celebrate a life filled with family, friendship, love, and memories we will cherish forever.
