Mickie Dwaine Surginer

Mickie Dwaine Surginer was born November 20, 1958 to H. Eugene Surginer (Gene) and Loue Clara Surginer in Cleburne, Texas. He was a life-long resident of Burleson. He passed away at home March 7, 2026 after a short illness. 

Mickie graduated from Burleson High School - which his dad helped build years before. After studying at Tarrant County Junior College, he decided to follow in his dad's footsteps and became a bricklayer. The two worked side by side for many. years. After his dad retired, the two continued to work together building and repairing mailboxes and fire places around the area. 

Mickie enjoyed spending time with friends on motorcycle trips and fishing with his family. 

He is preceded in death by his mom and dad. He is survived by his sister, Lorraine Stone Phinney of Burleson; one aunt, Betty Tawater; numerous cousins; and extended Family Rebecca Surginer (Becky).

A graveside service will be held at Smith Bend Coon Creek Cemetery on March 16th at 1pm.
