Michael Reynolds

Michael McNeill Reynolds passed peacefully from this life and to eternal rest on May 7, 2025 after a valiant fight with cancer. Mike was born to Robert Fulton Reynolds and Caroline Sue Farrell in Odessa, Texas in 1950 and lived the majority of his youth in Kermit, Pecos, and Odessa, Texas. Mike graduated from Kermit High School in 1968 and joined the service shortly, thereafter. Mike proudly served three years in the army including one year in Vietnam. After his discharge from the army, Mike lived in Florida, Virginia, and North Carolina for several years where he received his welding certification and worked in the naval shipyards and in various power plants along the Atlantic coastal states.

Mike returned to Kermit in 1976 where he met Janice Turner, a "hometown girl", like his Granny recommended. Mike and Janice married in 1979 and lived in Sheridan Wyoming; and Odessa, Garland, Cleburne, and finally, Joshua, Texas - where they settled in for the duration of their married lives. Mike attended college at East Texas State University in Commerce and also Hill College in Cleburne, Texas. Mike worked many years in oilfield industry manufacturing jobs and in power plants, including Comanche Peak Nuclear Power Plant in Glen Rose, Texas. Mike retired from Hydra-Rig/Nov in 2016. He loved his family-filled retirement spending time with his children and grandchildren and others while visiting parks and scenic attractions and just "hanging out" at the casa.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents and his in-laws, Albert Orval Turner, Jr. and Myrna Nadine Turner; his brother, Dana Reynolds; sister, Sherry Gingrow; and son, Michael Reynolds. Mike is survived by his wife, Janice Turner Reynolds; two sons, Stephen Reynolds (spouse Jenny) of Denton, Texas and Anthony Reynolds of Joshua, Texas; sister, Lana Jackson (Don) of Austin, Texas. Mike is also survived by his beloved grandchildren including: Jocelyn Reynolds, Cooper Reynolds, Tyren Reynolds, Micca Reynolds, and Cloey Schopfer. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren: Kason, Isabelle, Oliver, and Ellie Sue Hicks and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Mike will be forever in the hearts of his loved ones as the big huggable, lovable "teddy bear" that he was!
