Max Wesley Harman, 65, of Joshua, Texas, passed away peacefully on March 18, 2026. He was born on July 29, 1960, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Andrew "Joe" Harman and Lana Harman.
Max devoted his life to his craft as a third-generation master carpenter, working alongside his father for many years. In 1989, he proudly founded Harman Joinery, where he continued his lifelong passion for woodworking and craftsmanship. He was a graduate of Joshua High School.
Beyond his work, Max found great joy in the outdoors. He was an avid lifelong hunter and a passionate explorer of American Indian artifacts. He loved restoring old cars, birdwatching, and starting his mornings with a cup of coffee while watching the sunrise. A dedicated wildlife conservationist, Max had a deep respect for nature that he carried throughout his life.
Max is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Carrie Harman; his children, Joe Harman and his fiancée Brandi Solis, Kenneth Harman and his partner Rabecca Wilson, Susanna Harman and her fiancée Dylan Myers, Ruby Harman, Andrew "Roxie" Harman, Hank Harman, and Jeri Harman; and his eight cherished grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Andrew "Joe" Harman, and his sister, Karen Ficklen.
A viewing will be held Monday, March 23, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Mountain Valley Funeral Home, 3407 SW Wilshire Blvd, Burleson, Texas. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, March 24, at 2:00 p.m. at Christ Chapel South Campus, 390 N Burleson Blvd, Burleson, Texas.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to
Christ Chapel Bible Church Disaster Relief Ministry
Max will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his love for the outdoors, he was a dedicated music fan (with an IPod catalogue worth more than gold), and his deep devotion to his family. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched and the craftsmanship he leaves behind.
