Mary Madill

August 16, 1964 — August 26, 2025

Mary Anne Madill was born in Honolulu, Hawaii' on August 16th, 1964 to Bill and Sue Knight. She passed away peacefully, early Tuesday morning, August 26, 2025, and was promoted to her eternal, heavenly home, surrounded by loved ones.

Mary Anne was "A Military Brat", as she loved to say, and grew up in a loving, supportive family of a sister, 2 brothers, her mother and father - all who loved her deeply.

Mary attended High School in Crowley, Texas. She married, moved to Lufkin, Texas and became the devoted mother of Lacey, Lynsey and Lauren. Mary is the grandmother of Myles, Rowan, Leah, Hayley, Tanner and Wyatt. She has many aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, and more cousins than there are stars in the sky. Early in life, Mary made a firm commitment to her Lord, Jesus Christ, lived her life with a deep rudder of faith in Christ and her witness and testimony of faith and faithfulness was an inspiration to all who knew her. Mary loved spending time with her children, grandchlidren and her extended family. She was quick to love, the first to serve, and the last to give the longest hugs. She loved to give, help and bring comfort. Her smile and presence brightened every room and filled every space with a loving welcome! Mary brought joy and laughter everywhere she went. Her favorite job was working for the Bombay company, where she made life-long and dear friends.

She was preceeded in death by her sister, Suzie and her mother Mary Sue.

She is survived by her husband, Russ Madil, her father Bill Knight, her brothers, Johnny Knight and Billy Knight, her three daughters, Lacey Horn, Lynsey Barnes and Lauren Horn, her six grandchilren and her two step-children, Madison Madill and Zack Madill.

Mary's love, laughter, generosity, smile and memory will live in our hearts forever.
