BURLESON -- Martin Bee Scott, 86, a retired real estate broker, died Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2008, in Fort Worth. Funeral: 10 a.m. Friday at St. Matthew Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Interment: 10:30 a.m. Monday in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Mountain Valley Funeral Home-Burleson. Memorials: May be made to the St. Matthew Cumberland Presbyterian Church Building Fund or to Harvest House of Burleson. Bee was born Jan. 4, 1922, in Detroit, Texas, to Dick and Audrie Rodgers Scott. Bee was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy as a Seabee during World War II. He recieved a degree in agriculture from Sam Houston State University. Bee loved gardening, grafting pecan trees, farming and ranching, and being outdoors. Survivors: Wife, Audrey Scott of Burleson; son, Britt Scott and wife, Jaquline, of Burleson; daughter, Deborah Lightfoot and husband, Philip, of Dallas; sisters, Marie Brumley and Juanita Cremeen, both of Kerrville; grandchildren, Sean Scott, Jason Scott, Nicholas Scott, Laura Lightfoot; and great-grandchildren, Caleb and Emma Grace Scott.
