Marilyn V Kuhn

Marilyn Kuhn, a dedicated follower of Christ, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend passed into eternal life on May 26, 2026 in Farmers Branch, Texas.

Services for Marilyn Kuhn will be held on June 2nd, 2026 at 10 am at the Burleson Church of Christ with Karl Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Skyvue Funeral Home in Mansfield.

Marilyn was born December 23, 1943, in San Angelo, Texas, to Vinnie Lee Kerley Vinson and William "Kit" Vinson. She attended Colorado and Jackson Street Church of Christ (currently Southgate Church of Christ) with her family.

She married Don Kuhn on May 28, 1966. Marilyn was an elementary teacher and speech therapist. She started teaching after graduating from Abilene Christian College. Don accepted a job as the education minister at Belt Line Road Church of Christ in Irving. In 1976, Don and Marilyn moved to Burleson, and Don began work there as an education minister at the Burleson Church of Christ. They resided in Burleson until 2024.

Marilyn taught school in Irving, Southwest Christian School in Fort Worth, and Burleson. She taught 3rd and 4th grade Bible Class at the Burleson Church of Christ for many years. She shared her love of Jesus with many children through the years.

Special thanks to the Cao, Roncancio, and Alvarez families for assisting her and providing loving care in the last two years of illness. Gaby Roncancio assisted Marilyn seven days a week and was a great help to Don as he cared for Marilyn at home. Also, thanks to Medical City Dallas Hospice.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Trudi J. Kuhn Cao, her parents Vinnie and Kit Vinson, her brothers W.R. Vinson, Dale Vinson, and Robert Vinson.

She is survived by her loving family including her husband of 60 years, Don Kuhn; her daughter, Vicki J. Kuhn Stone and husband Shawn Stone; her son-in-law Hai Cao and wife Valerie Cao; grandchildren Mailee Cao, Tamiah Cao, Daniel Cao, and Joshua Cao; her sister, Susie Armstrong and husband Blaine Armstrong; nieces Kenda Zink and Kayla Cansler; nephews Steve Vinson, Greg Vinson, James Vinson, and Robin Vinson and many great nieces and nephews.
