Margie Walker

April 8, 1938 — December 12, 2025

Margie Marie (Shuler) Walker, a lifelong resident of Burleson, Texas, was called home by her Lord and Savior on December 12, 2025.

Margie was born on April 8, 1938 in Burleson to Raymond Brazil Shuler and Bertha Alline (Terry) Shuler. Margie was also known to her family and friends as "Dube". She grew up attending school in Burleson alongside her two brothers, Billy Ray Shuler and Charles Edward (Eddie) Shuler. Margie was honored to have attended school in Burleson and graduated in 1956. She was a member of the Burleson Ex-Students Association and loved attending their yearly banquets and reminiscing with her classmates.

Shortly after graduating high school, Margie married the love of her life, Kenneth Ray Walker, on July 13, 1957. Their only child, Vickie Lynn (Walker) Wiltshire, was born on November 30, 1958. She was the light of their life until her untimely death on April 19, 1997. Kenneth passed away on January 24, 2004, about 5.5 months shy of him and Margie's 47th anniversary.

In addition to her responsibilities as wife and mother, she was always proud of her accomplishments at First National Bank in Fort Worth and the Quick Wash in Burleson. Working at the Quick Wash in Burleson for over 30 years was one of her biggest blessings. She loved talking to new people and never met a stranger. She made many new friends through her years there. She was also a beloved member of the Eastern Star.

On July 11, 1991, Margie's daughter Vickie and her husband Tommy Wiltshire welcomed their daughter, Stephanie (Wiltshire) Dunson. Margie loved Stephanie so much and made the most of her role as a grandmother.

A new chapter began when Tommy married Mary. Margie welcomed Mary as a bonus daughter and Justin as a grandson, with open arms, and over the years we all grew closer as a family unit.

One of her biggest joys in life was being a member at Hallmark Baptist Church. She loved attending her Sunday School (Faith) class and enjoyed all of the friends she made and all of their adventures.

In the past 2.5 years, Margie was ecstatic about becoming a great-grandmother to Stephanie and husband Sam's children, Reagan and Liam.

Margie was preceded in death by husband Kenneth Walker; daughter Vickie (Walker) Wiltshire; her parents Raymond Brazil and Bertha Alline (Terry) Shuler; brother Charles Edward (Eddie) Shuler; and brother Billy Ray Shuler.

She is survived by her bonus children Tommy Wiltshire and wife Mary; granddaughter Stephanie Dunson and husband Sam; grandson Justin Brooks; great-grandchildren Reagan and Liam; sister-in-law and friend Evelyn (Louise) Shuler; niece Cyndi (Shuler) Pakes, husband Darren and son Chaz; niece Dusti Shuler and fiancé Kevin Wingo; niece Deana Shuler-Seeley and husband Darrell; nephew Ray Shuler, wife Carla, and daughter Elizabeth; and nephew Phil Shuler and children Matthew, Christian, Brooklyn, Nathan, and Noah, along with many other extended family and friends.

Margie deeply valued her family and friends and loved them all dearly. We all cherished having Margie in our lives and will miss her very much.
