Margaret Bills

September 21, 1942 — November 27, 2025

Born on September 21, 1942, in Bell, California, Margaret Elaine White was the daughter of Truman and Ora Mae (Freeman) White. On the afternoon of November 27, 2025, surrounded by her children, Margaret peacefully transitioned to glory, her children's voices ushering her to heaven with songs and prayers.

Margaret's life was shaped by love, resilience, and devotion. As the oldest of eight siblings: Norene (Larry*) Fishel, Sharron (Bill*) Mertz, Curtis White*, Stan (Laura) White, Steve (Nan) White, Suzy (Mike*) Mashburn, and Deborah (Jerry) Womack, she learned early the importance of family and sacrifice. After losing her father to cancer in 1960, Margaret left high school to support her family, later finishing her degree at night while working by day. Her determination and selflessness became a guiding light for her siblings and all who knew her.

On November 30, 1960, Margaret married Joe Perry Mannan, an army soldier she was introduced to by friends who became family. Together, they built a life in Burleson, Texas, working side by side at General Dynamics before Margaret devoted herself to raising their three children: Joleen (Rick) Craig, Steve (Terri) Mannan, and Sherri (Rich) Harris. Though Joe's passing in 2000 brought deep sorrow, Margaret's faith carried her through, and she spent nine years drawing closer to God, interceding for loved ones and finding strength in scripture.

A new chapter began when Margaret met Charles Bills in Bible Study. Their union on February 26, 2009, brought more love and family into her life, including Dr. Paul (Beth) Gibbs, Amy (Jeff) Adcock, Evan Bills, and Julie Bills. Together, Margaret and Charles prayed nightly for their children and grandchildren: Kristen, Tarrant (Alynna), Ethan (Bailey) E., Kylie, Derrick, Connor, Reese, Tegan, Audrey, Drew, Jedidah, Tirzah, and Ethan C.

Widowed for a second time in 2022, Margaret faced life with unwavering faith, hope, and love as her guiding principles. She embraced the arrival of her great-grandchildren; Waylon, Caleb, and Benjamin.

Margaret deeply valued the family she had nurtured, the memories she created, and the heritage of kindness and devotion she cultivated throughout her years. As she has arrived at her heavenly home where she longed to be, her enduring spirit continues to inspire and comfort all who were fortunate enough to know her.
