Mahdeen Bell

Mahdeen (West) Bell, 80, school teacher, passed away May 20, 2013, at home, following complications of a stroke. Service: 10:00 AM, Saturday, May 25, 2013 at Mountain Valley Funeral Home. Interment: Caddo Cemetery in Joshua. Visitation: 6-8 PM, Friday at Funeral Home. Mahdeen was born July 17, 1932, in Fort Worth to Samuel A. and Jessie (Needham) West. She was a school teacher for 30 years, having spent the last 28 years teaching 4th grade for Joshua ISD. Mahdeen loved traveling, reading, and Mexican food. She enjoyed birds and gardening. Survivors: husband of 59 years, Jerrell R. Bell of Joshua; son, Brian Bell and wife Janice of Colmesneil; daughters, Lynn Bell of Plano, Lisa Bell Bishop and husband Pete of Crowley, Lori Woods and husband Paul of Joshua; grandsons, Zachary Kline, Brodey Bell, Jacob, Tanner, Ashton and Riley Woods, extended family and friends.
