JOSHUA - Louis C. Drake, Jr, 83, of Joshua passed away Friday, November 11, 2011. Memorial Service: 2PM Friday, November 18, 2011 at Mountain Valley Funeral Home Chapel. Following the service all are invited to a reception at the El Azteca Café, 10925 FM 1902, Crowley. Louis was born April 26, 1928 in Bath, Indiana to the late Louis C. Sr. and Della Stanley Drake. He was preceded in death by 2 sisters and 2 brothers. Louis was a Kroger Store manager for 25 years, and entrepreneur/owner of three Drake's Food Marts in the Franklin, IN vicinity. Louis retired to Oxford, OH for ten years prior to moving to Joshua in 2000 where he resided with his daughter Janice. Louis loved his family and friends and enjoyed woodworking, hunting, fishing, water skiing and social time at the Senior Citizens Bingo. Survivors include: Son, Steve Drake and wife Cindy of Georgetown, KY; Daughters, Janice (Nolte) Muraru and husband Rolf of Joshua, Sara and Della Drake of Franklin, IN; 11 Grandchildren, 4 Great Grandchildren; Special Friend Ms. Emma Allen of Burleson; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
