Logan Robert Hook - born September 1, 1996, in Lubbock, Texas - went to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on October 26, 2025. He was the son of Kia Barton Hook and David Hook, and the proud brother of Jordan Hook.
Logan grew up loving life to the fullest. From cheering on the Red Raiders at Texas Tech, to playing baseball, football, wrestling and golf. He loved hunting, wakeboarding, and spending time with family and friends-whatever the situation, Logan was all in. He attended Texas Tech, then earned his nursing degree from Hill College and put everything he had in to caring for others at Baylor Scott & White in Waxahachie. While his career was cut short, his impact on his patients and coworkers was tremendous. His intelligence and determination were matched only by his huge heart.
Logan's faith in God and his bravery and courage has been a testament to the man he was. He lived fully and inspired everyone around him by facing life's ups and downs with a steadfast heart and his eyes on God. His gift as a storyteller meant he could spin a moment into a memory and make you laugh in the same breath-a reflection of how genuinely funny and witty he was. His infectious smile and laughter lit up any room he was in, and he always entertained with his incredible dance moves as they were among the best. Logan was deeply compassionate, always the first to offer help or a kind word, and undeniably smart, approaching every challenge with sharp insight. He stood by his family and friends without question-remarkably loyal-and naturally stepped into the role of a leader, whether it was in sports, work, or simply lifting others up. His discipline showed in the way he pursued his goal.
Logan is survived by his mother, Kia Barton Hook; his father, David Hook and wife Michelle; his brother, Jordan Hook; his grandparents George and Beth Barton. 13 Aunts and Uncles, 27 Cousins, 22 Great Aunts and Uncles, 51 2nd Cousins, 3 Step Siblings and niece, a hoard of more extended family members and countless friends.
He was preceded in death by his Grandmother Pat Nelson Barton; Grandparents Dan and Carolyn Hook; and Cousin Cody Barton.
He may be gone from our sight, but his smile, his stories, his dance moves and the joy he shared will never fade.
Thank you for being part of his story-and for carrying him with you in memories, in laughter, and in kindness.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you donate to the Logan Hook Memorial Fund which will benefit nursing students at Hill College. You can donate by Venmo to Susan-McHughes. All proceeds will help Hill College nursing students in need.
