Larry Joe Carson

Larry Joe Carson, 71, passed away Sunday, Oct. 1, 2017. He was born Sept. 10, 1946, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. A private family service will be held at a later date. Larry was preceded in death by his father, Joe E. Carson; son, Steven Karr; and son-in-law, Beau Smith. He was the sole proprietor of Carson Transport. As a business owner, he contracted for many companies and made countless lifelong friendships. Larry loved to watch sports. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Larry is survived by his wife of 40 years, Dorothy "Dottie" Carson; daughter, Laurie Smith; granddaughters, Peyton Smith, Dr. Taylor Smith, and Rayna Smith; numerous other loving family and friends; and Sydney, his best little furry friend.
