Joe David Garrett Sr., 78, of Joshua, Texas, passed away peacefully on August 10, 2025. He was born on March 6, 1947, in Gainesville, Texas.

A proud U.S. Air Force veteran and business owner of Advanced MetroComm and Discount Two-way. Joe dedicated his life to hard work, family, and service. He had a passion for fishing, cooking, and 2-way radios, but above all, he cherished time spent with loved ones.

Joe was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was our coach in life and in sports, our personal chef, and the heart of every family vacation. His unwavering support and love built a joyful foundation for generations.

He is survived by his wife, Sherry Garrett; children Joe David Jr. Garrett, Mitch Clark, and Ashlee Clark; and grandchildren Jordan, Sol, David, Jaxon, Avarey, Greyson, and Cataleya.

He was preceded in death by his son, Scott Garrett; his mother, Helen Garrett; grandparents Clarence and Mary Smith; and father-in-law Jerry Russell.

Joe leaves behind a legacy of strength, love, and deep devotion. He gave his family a beautiful life, and his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
