Jimmy Charles Staiger

A light went out of the world on October 11, 2014, when "Sweet Jim" died. A Celebration of Life will be 2:00 PM Thursday, October 16, 2014 at Mountain Valley Funeral Home. His last day was spent with food, football, and friends. We are grateful for the loving care of Stephanie and Debby of Cleburne Hospice who enabled Jim to remain at home with his wife, Gwen and faithful dog, Ellie. Each day he had was spent with thoughts of how to fix things and make "our little world" better. Jim was an avid golfer before his illness. He loved the Valley Boys at Mountain Valley C.C. and their good times stories in the 19th hole. His smiling face and good humor will be missed, and he wanted to convey "I did my best to keep an honest score." Survivors: wife, Gwen; daughters, Luana Reynolds, (Tony), Stacey Driggars, (Dean); grandchildren, James Gubera Jr., Samantha and Richard Carr.
