Burleson - Jerry Clem Morris, 86, of Burleson, a retired industrial mechanic passed away peacefully Saturday, May 17 after a long illness. Funeral: 11:00 am, Monday, June 2, 2025 at Mountain Valley Funeral Home in Joshua. Internment: Laurel Land Memorial Park. Visitation: 9:00 am - 11:00 am, Monday, June 2 within the Mountain Valley Funeral Home chapel. Jerry was born March 22, 1939 in Vernon, TX to Joseph C. Morris and Bertha Thursia Morris née Vickers. He was passionate about his family and many, many great friends, and was known for his sense of humor and being a man of his word. He was a member of Calvary Church in South Fort Worth, and an endowed member of both the Deer Creek Masonic Lodge No. 510 and the Moslah Shrine Temple in Fort Worth. Jerry was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Wanda Kay Morris, née Mayfield, and his second son, Kevin Jay Morris. Survivors: Sister, Darlynn Bellar of Vernon; Sons, Brent Morris of Hurst; Kerry Morris of Grand Prairie; and Jon Marc Morris of Burleson; Grandchildren, Amanda Morris of Honolulu, HI, Clint Morris and wife Cara of Jacksboro; Taylor Morris and wife Aubrey of Syracuse, NY; and Austin Morris of Abilene; plus five great grandchildren along with several much loved nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
