James Meyer

James Meyer, 74, passed away May 19, 2013, in a Fort Worth hospital. Service: 10:00 AM, Thursday, May 23, 2013 at Mountain Valley Funeral Home. Interment: Caddo Cemetery, Joshua. Visitation: 6-8 PM, Wednesday at Funeral Home. James was born September 27, 1938, in Oakes, North Dakota to Rheinhold Agusta and Olivia Siem Meyer. He was a great husband and father. A shining example of a true man. James enjoyed guns and hunting. He always loved watching westerns. James was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Barbara Meyer and brother, Orville Meyer. Survivors: sons, Tim Meyer of Rio Vista, Kent Meyer and wife, Amanda of Joshua, Brian Meyer and wife Sherri of Joshua; grandsons, Tyson Meyer, Christopher Meyer, Jarrod Latigo and wife Rachel, Tanner Bucher, Chris Turner and wife Nicki, Wesley Meyer, Cody Turner; granddaughters, Katrina Meyer, Ashley Hammons and husband Jeremy; 7 great grandchildren; brothers, Clyde Meyer of Fargo, North Dakota, Melvin Meyer of Fargo, North Dakota; sisters, Norma Repko of Jamestown, North Dakota, Viola Anderson of Gwinner, North Dakota and loving extended family and friends.
