Godelieve Jeanne Raes

Godelieve Raes, lovingly known to many as Lieve passed away peacefully on May 6, 2026, at Huguley Hospital in Burleson, Texas, surrounded by her closest friends. She was 83 years old.

Born on January 16, 1943, in Ninove, Belgium, Lieve grew up in Nederhasselt with her parents, Hector and Maria, and her sister, Frieda. In 1964, she married François De Keyser, and together they welcomed their daughter, Ilse, in August 1967.

After her divorce in 1981, Lieve found love again with Johan Przydryga, whom she married in September 1988. That same year, they moved to Texas for Johan's work with Alcon Labs in Burleson. Though Lieve loved traveling and discovering different cultures, Texas captured her heart most of all. In 2002, they settled on their beloved property in Grandview, where they built a life filled with love, friendship, and happy memories.

In 2005, Lieve was blessed with her cherished granddaughter, Marie, who brought her endless joy. After Johan's passing in 2012, Lieve chose to remain in the Texas home she loved so dearly.

Lieve will be remembered for her generous heart, her warmth, and the love she gave so freely to family and friends. She leaves behind countless treasured memories, stories of laughter, and a legacy of kindness that will live on forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
