Glenna Faye Bradshaw

August 19, 1937 - August 5, 2026

Glenna Faye Bradshaw was born on August 19, 1937, on a farm in the Friendship community south of Cleburne, Texas, to John and Irene (Jones) Gordon. She went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 5, 2026.

Glenna attended Friendship School through the eighth grade before attending Cleburne High School, where she met the love of her life, Wayne Bradshaw. The two were married on October 9, 1954, and began a marriage that would span 65 years until Wayne's passing in Feb. of 2020.

Together they raised three children, Larry, Kim, and Jimmy. In October of 1974, the family moved to Joshua, where they and his longtime friend Bill Wood opened B & W Thriftee. Joshua quickly became home, and Glenna embraced the community she loved for the rest of her life.

If you knew Glenna, you know she never met a stranger. She had a gift for making people feel welcome and valued, and her warm personality made her a familiar and beloved face throughout Joshua. She dedicated countless hours to serving others as coordinator of Joshua Meals On Wheels, where she helped organize and personally deliver meals to local seniors for many years. She also served on theBoard that helped establish the Joshua School & Community Library, leaving a lasting impact on the community she cared so deeply about.

Above all else, Glenna treasured her family. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and later found even greater joy in her growing number of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Whether attending ball games, celebrating holidays, or simply gathering together, she made every occasion feel special.

Glenna also had a signature style all her own. She believed in looking her best and was rarely seen without her jewelry, lipstick, and beautifully fixed hair. She carried herself with grace and confidence, always ready with a smile and a conversation.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Wayne Bradshaw; her son, Larry Bradshaw; her daughter, Kim Booher; her parents, John and Irene Gordon; and her sister and brother-in-law, Marie and Bobby Graves.

She is survived by her son, Jimmy Bradshaw and wife Denise of Joshua; son-in-law, Rusty Booher of Joshua; brothers, Demarquis Gordon and wife Jennie of Eastland and Randy Gordon of Cleburne; six grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Glenna's greatest legacy is the love she shared so freely-with her family, her friends, and her community. She will be remembered for her servant's heart, her unwavering kindness, her welcoming spirit, and the countless lives she touched throughout her 88 years.
