Emilee Elizabeth Bates, 13, passed away June 4, 2013 at a Fort Worth Hospital. Service: 10:00 AM, Monday, June 10, 2013 North Point Baptist Church. Interment: Laurel Land Memorial Park. Visitation: 2-4 PM, Sunday at Mountain Valley Funeral Home. Emilee was born September 29, 1999 in Arlington to Randy and Stacy Hall Bates. She was a 7th grade student at Loflin Middle School. Emilee played basketball, volleyball, ran track and was 4th in district in Hurdles. She was a youth member at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church and loved to sing. She had 2 dogs, 2 cats and a duck named Steve. Emilee loved family time and vacations. She enjoyed spending time with her best friend Lauren McGregor and shopping. Survivors: parents of Joshua; brother, Austin McCord of Joshua; grandparents, Ed Bates of Joshua, Delores and Henry Hall of Grand Prairie; Aunts and uncles, Leea Shows and husband Paul and son, Mitchel of Grand Prairie, Steve Bates and wife, Brenda of Mesquite, many extended family and friends.
