Elizabeth Jo Pendley

Elizabeth Jo Pendley was born on December 28, 1953, in Arlington, Texas. She peacefully went to be with our Lord on September 23, 2026, in Burleson, Texas, cradled in her husband's arms.

Beth grew up in Arlington and graduated from Sam Houston High School. Shortly thereafter she went to work as a secretary for the Texas Rangers. After an earlier marriage that blessed her with two children, she found her true love while working her career with the Arlington ISD. She retired from the school district after 20 years of service in 2013.

Winston and Beth married in 2005, and theirs was the kind of love everyone hopes for. After retirement they bought a farm in Burleson and had the dream life full of dogs, horses, donkeys and farm life.

Beth was a strong Christian woman whose faith was at the center of her life.

Survived by her love, husband Winston Pendley, daughter Jami Openshaw and her husband Brandon, son Dan McDonald and his wife Candice, son Cody Pendley and his wife Kimberly and daughter Gina Johnson. Grand Children, Jacob, Logan, Ashleigh, London, Christopher, Mitchell, Justin, Damian, Harper and Weldon. Great Grandchild, Palmer, Cash and Tex.

Preceded in death by her parents, Jess and Jo Weldon and brother Phil Weldon.

Family and friends are invited to visit from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at Mountain Valley Funeral Home. A service celebrating her life will be held the following morning, Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at 10:00 am, at the same location.
