Donnie Ray Yandell, 69, of Burleson, passed away Monday, February 27, 2017. Funeral Service: 10:30AM, Thursday, March 2, 2017, Mountain Valley Funeral Home. Visitation: 6-8PM, March 1st, at the funeral home. Interment: DFW National Cemetery at 1:15PM. Donnie was born December 30, 1947 in Weatherford to Jack and Ethel (Green) Yandell. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Donnie loved fishing, listening to classic rock, swimming, old cars, and watching the Discovery Channel. Donnie was known to be a clown and prankster. He proudly served in the US Army where he received a Purple Heart in the Vietnam War. Survivors: wife of 48 years, Karen Yandell of Burleson; daughters, Shelli Skipper and husband, Coy of Aledo, Tianey Wallace and husband, Jamie of Fort Worth; grandsons, Brandon Wright, Tyler Wallace and wife, Carly, Trenton Wallace; granddaughters, Kelsi Skipper, Makenzi Skipper; sister, Pam Smith and husband, David of Fort Worth; brother, Lonnie Yandell and wife Pat of Whitney; numerous other family and friends.
