David spent most of his adult life behind the wheel as a dedicated truck driver. Over the years, he worked with several companies including Reeves Trucking, Lone Star Transportation, AGL Construction, and Ark Construction. His career reflected his strong work ethic and commitment to getting the job done-qualities that those who knew him came to admire.
He was a man who truly lived life on his own terms. Known for his generous spirit and easygoing nature, David was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. Whether it was helping out a friend or spending time with family, he approached life with warmth and sincerity.
David found joy in the outdoors and could often be found fishing-his favorite pastime-or relaxing by the lake. He also had a passion for remote control cars and airplanes, hobbies that brought him both excitement and peace. A fan of Texas Hold 'em Poker, he enjoyed the camaraderie and challenge of the game. Above all else, David cherished visiting with family and friends; these moments were among his most treasured.
He is lovingly remembered by his brother Craig Sherrill and wife Julie of Azle; his sister Joan Logan and husband Toby of Burleson; nieces and nephews Melody, Brent, Calvin, Jen, and Eric; as well as five great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Raymond Sherrill and mother Mildred Sherrill.
