Clyde Sewell

Clyde Cephus Sewell, 72, went home to be with the Lord on January 8, 2026. He was born on December 16, 1953, to Austin and Annie Margaret Sewell in Seagraves, TX. He married the love of his life, Jackie, on July 7, 1972. Together, they raised a family and lived a very full life, including three daughters: Jennifer, Toni, and Amanda.

While Clyde had an adventurous spirit and a great sense of humor, he will be most remembered for the deep love he had for his family. Clyde poured his entire life into them, building a legacy of faith and love that will be long remembered.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Austin and Annie Margaret Sewell; his stepfather, J.H. "Cowboy" Chumley; sisters Mary, Katherine, and Linda; brothers Ronnie and Alan; his son-in-law Jeffrey; and nephews Leelynn, Tommy, Joey and Jason.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Jackie; his daughters Jennifer Jones, Toni (Eddie) Studer, and Amanda (Danny) Sirota; grandchildren Austin (Kelsi) Jones, Bailey Jones, Isaac Sirota, Emma Studer, Sophia and Isabella Sirota; and great-grandchildren Weston and Ryleigh. He is also survived by his brothers Joe (Jackie) Chumley, Lee (Karen) Chumley, and Hugh (Linda) Chumley, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 17, at 10:00 a.m. at Lane Prairie Baptist Church in Joshua TX.
