BURLESON -- Clarence Ray Smith, 84, of Burleson, passed away January 2, 2013, in a Fort Worth hospital. Service: 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 5, 2012 Mountain Valley Funeral Home. Visitation: 6-8 PM, Friday at the Funeral Home. Clarence was born October 7, 1928 in Haskell, to Hughlin Hayes and Viola Smith. He is a graduate of Texas Military College. Clarence retired from Johns Manville as plant engineer. Survivors: wife, Peggy Smith; son, Clarence Ray Smith, Jr. and wife, Marylin of Sour Lake; daughters, Terresa Baird and husband, Bill of Burleson, Melissa Perry and husband, John of Burleson, Amanda Berger and husband Captain David of Japan; grandsons, Brandon Smith, Austin Baird, and wife, Elizabeth, Logan Baird, Mason Perry, Nolan Perry; granddaughters, Jennifer Cabrera and husband, Damian, Kaitlin Davenport and husband, Paul, Eleanor Berger, Madeline Berger; 6 great grandchildren and extended family and friends.
