Bonnie Ruth Veteto Robison Collins passed away Monday, August 11, 2025, in Fort Worth, Texas at the age of 98. She was born February 9, 1927 in Valley Mills, Texas, a daughter of Joe and Lula Mae Veteto.
Services will be 10:00 am Tuesday, August 19th at Mountain Valley Funeral Home in Joshua, Texas. Graveside services will follow at Smith Bend Coon Creek Cemetery in Clifton, Texas. Visitation is on Monday, August 18th from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Mountain Valley Funeral Home.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her first husband, Jack N. Robison, and their two sons, Clifford Paul and Jack Ray; as well as her three brothers, George Veteto, Leslie Veteto and Bob Veteto. She was also preceded in death by her second husband, Alton B. Collins.
She is survived by her son, Donald Robison, of Kopperl, Texas and her daughter, Pamela Robison, of Crowley, Texas; her grandchildren: Eric (Susanna) Robison, Taylor Tassin, Adam (Maria) Robison, Chase (Brittany) Robison and Jake (Melinda) Robison, as well as many great grandchildren. She leaves behind nieces and nephews that loved her dearly and extended family and friends.
Bonnie was a graduate of John Tarleton College (where she met her husband, Jack) and earned a Master's degree from Texas Christian University while being a mother and taking night courses. She was a long-time teacher at Diamond Hill Jarvis High School in Fort Worth.
She was well known as a wonderful cook, loved to sew and continued to read throughout her life. At her passing, she was a member of Lane Prairie Baptist Church, and always served as an active, devoted member of a church family throughout her life. Her faith was evident to all that knew her.
