Bobby Wayne "Bob" New
January 2, 1950 - September 16, 2026
Bobby Wayne "Bob" New was born January 2, 1950, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Alvin and Rebecca New. On September 16, 2026, Bob passed away peacefully, surrounded by his wife and children, as he was welcomed into his heavenly home.
Bob grew up in Fort Worth with his family and graduated from Trimble Tech High School. While working in the photography department at a local department store, he discovered two loves that would remain with him throughout his life-photography and the love of his life, Vennette, who was also employed there. Bob and Vennette married, started a family, settled in Burleson, Texas, and shared 55 wonderful years together. Bob later built a successful career in welding supply sales, where his hard work and character earned him the respect of many and friendships that lasted a lifetime.
Above all, Bob loved God, his wife, his family, and his country. He was a man of strong Christian faith and showed that faith through his kindness, generosity, and willingness to help others. He was a devoted husband, a wonderful father, a tender Papa, a giving brother, a beloved brother-in-law and son-in-law, and a loving uncle.
Bob loved the outdoors and had a special appreciation for God's creation. He enjoyed fly fishing, photography, traveling with Vennette, attending his grandsons' sporting events, and taking long drives down backroads-often choosing the road less traveled. His camera was rarely far away as he captured beautiful scenery and countless memories of the family he loved.
Bob never liked to sit still. Even in retirement, there was always something to build, fix, or create. Most recently, he enjoyed building Leopold benches and planter boxes for Vennette and his children. Staying busy and doing for others was simply part of who he was.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Rebecca New, and his stepfather, Bill Gray.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Vennette; his children, Rachel Ham and husband David, Brandy Carbaugh and fiancé William Fergason, and Paul New and wife Deann; grandchildren, Kolby Carbaugh, Korbin Carbaugh and wife Marissa and son Kelly, Johnathon Meadors, and Jace New; bonus grandchildren, Marcus, Bryan, Savannah, Meigan, Mabry, and Macie; his sister, Becky; sister-in-law, Juanet Copelend; bonus great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends whom he loved dearly.
